The original gimlet is said to have been created for the men of the Royal Navy to help fend off the ravages of scurvy by adding lime cordial to their ration of gin. This is our take on the classic.

Ingredients
-
0.75 oz (22ml) Rootside’s Rosehip Lemonade Mix
-
2 oz (60ml) Arbutus’ Citrus Gin
-
Lime wheel
Directions
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and vigorously shake until chilled.
Strain into a coupe glass
Garnish with a lime wheel and enjoy!
Recipe Note
Dehydrating your citus greatly extends the shelf life of your garnishes meaning you can prep them months in advance and use at will. Also, try a classic Gimlet, 0.75oz Rose’s Lime Cordial, 2oz Gin, same instructions as above. This is the one drink were fresh lime juice will not improve the drink. Rose’s Lime Cordial is the only way to go for a classic Gimlet, seriously.
